The Angie/Andy Cartoon Trauma Scale combines questions and cartoon-based drawings to assess symptoms related to prolonged and recurring abuse young children may experience. The scale uses a thermometer response format. Both a long and short version of this scale exist. The information below pertains to the long scale.

Sample Size: 208 Population: Taken from three sites: 1) Outpatient clinic of a large inner-city hospital located in a high crime and violence, low SES area of NYC; 2) day treatment units of a hospital in a moderately high crime and violence, low to moderate SES area on the outskirts of NYC; and 3) an inner-city Catholic school, located in a high-crime and violence, low to moderately low SES area of NYC.
