Anger Response Inventory

General Information

The Anger Response Inventory is a scenario-based self-report measure in which respondents are presented with common, developmentally appropriate situations that are likely to elicit anger. They are asked to imagine themselves in each situation and then rate on a 5-point scale how angry they would be in such a situation, what they would feel like doing (not necessarily what they would actually do), their aggressive and nonaggressive behaviors, and their assessment of the likely long-term consequences of their reactions. Three versions of this inventory exist: child, adolescent, and adult. Information pertaining to the child version can be found below.
